Privacy Policy

State of Clay collects your personal information (such as your name, email/postal address, telephone number, etc) when you register to participate in an event. This information is used to fulfil State of Clay activities, to secure event bookings and to carry out any legal obligations. You have the right to review, amend or have your data deleted.  We do not share information with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes unless requested.

 

It may be necessary to provide member information to specific third parties to fulfil conditions of certain exhibitions, events or activities. Participants will be notified in advance if this is a requirement.  We may also ask for some additional information, for example, banking details in order to make a payment to you after an exhibition or event.

 

Your information will be held electronically and in paper format. We will take all reasonable precautions to prevent its loss or misuse. Please advise us of any changes to your information in order that we may keep accurate records for you. We will retain your information in accordance with legal obligations. We will also ask you if we may archive your details for historical purposes.

 

Under the General Data Protection Regulation our lawful basis for processing and holding personal information is legitimate interest as it is necessary for State of Clay to use this information in order to provide you with our services.

 

Mailing list subscribers via Mailchimp

State Clay will use the contact information you provide to send invitations to our exhibitions and events.  We will also send news updates with details of where to see and buy works.  You can change your mind at any time by clicking the unsubscribe button on any email you receive from us.  By signing up to this mailing list you acknowledge that the information you provide will be transferred to Mailchimp in accordance with their privacy policy.

Photography Permission 

 

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) protects an individual's personal information, and that includes the use of photographs.  State of Clay will ask your permission to use photographs of you across a variety of platforms if required.
